Education

Everyone from babies to bubbes can find an educational outlet at Temple Beth Orr. The youngest voices can be heard squealing in delight on our preschool playground or singing joyfully in the well appointed classrooms in the Kuhn Early Childhood Center.

Moving up the ladder, our religious school students have fun while learning about Judaism and seamlessly sliding into their bar/bat mitzvah studies. The bonds they form during these years, both with friends and temple life, cause many to continue on to our popularconfirmation and high school programs.

But learning is not just for children and teens! Our Life Long Learning options keep the adults’ minds active as well since learning is an ongoing process that can be enjoyed at any age.

2008-2009 Religious School

For the 2008–2009 school year, Mrs. Eileen Kaplan, our wonderful Early Childhood Center Director, will become TBO’s Director of Education. Over the past 3 years as the ECC Director Eileen has demonstrated excellent leadership skills, initiated innovative programming, introduced staff development and has brought excitement and growth to our award winning ECC program. Eileen is a long time educator that has spent over 20 years as an ECC Director and has training in both the early childhood and K-12. Effective with the new school year, she will oversee all educational programs from Preschool through Confirmation.

We are looking forward to an exciting and successful school year. If you have not met Eileen, please feel free to stop in and introduce yourself!
