Monthly Collection Corner- August & September
August & September Collections have resumed! WE NEED SCHOOL SUPPLIES. Walmart has amazing deals for $1 or $2, so please drop your donations in the grey box outside the religious school.
Items we need:
Pencils and Pens
Crayons
Colored pencils
glue
looseleaf paper
notebooks
folders
rulers and calculators
Supplies will be donated to KIDS IN DISTRESS.
BROWARD OUTREACH -NEW PROGRAM
Feed the Homeless
Social Action Committee will be organizing a monthly trip to the Broward Outreach Center for the Homeless where we will be helping to feed the clients. This will take place on the last Sunday of every month beginning on July 25th, from 3:30-5:30PM.
High school students are definitely welcome (since they need service hours), but only if accompanied by adults. There is also a dress code. Closed toes shoes & no sleeveless tops.
Mandatory Orientation Meeting : Brief orientation provides instructions before participation.

PINK WEEK - Breast Cancer Walk Event
American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Cancer" walk in Bubier Park.
Event details are as follows:

TIME: Walk begins at 9:00 am (Advance registration on line) Day of registration opens at 7:30 am
FEE: registration is free. Please sign up to donate $ and secure sponsors
The MAKING STRIDES Event is not a race, its a celebration of survivorship, an occasion to express hope and your fundraising effort helps to SAVE LIVES by:
Educating and empowering women to stay welll and live healthy lives
Find a cure by investing in research leading to groundbreaking discoveries in causes and cures
Fight back by supporting laws which help women get access to screenings and care
