WELCOME TO THE TBO WORLD OF MUSIC AND SOUND

Welcome to Temple Beth Orr's Music Page!

Below you will find information to keep you informed about the music program at TBO. In addition, please click
on the links for Jewish music resources and listen to some of the wonderful melodies by the original artists
that can be heard by our musical mavens and musicians.

History: The Music Committee was a sub-committee of Religious Practices & Music and was formed in 2004.
The music sub-committee’s function was to assist Cantor Susan Weiss with enhanced musical worship, as well as
provide and implement musical programs designed to encourage participation from any capable temple member
willing to share his/her musical talents.  In 2009, all sound issues were added to the music sub-committee's
responsibilities including sound system equipment and maintenance. When Cantor Weiss announced her retirement,
the leadership started a search for a cantorial soloist. During the search, it was voted and approved that all music and
sound issues would fall back under Religious Practices & Music, under the guidance of Rabbi Gross, effective January 1, 2011.
Diane Trivelli was Chair of this committee from May 2004-January 2011. Judi Sitkin is the current chair of RP&M.
